2019 LA Times Takeover

Print Newspaper Ad Campaign
Project Overview
Compass took over the cover wrap and all 4 zones (Westside, OC, SGV, and SFV) of the Hot Properties section in the LA Times. The takeover showcased our Compass Concierge design. Compass Concierge is exclusive to our brokerage's clients, and is the hassle-free way to sell your home faster and for a higher price with services like staging, flooring, painting, and more. Compass agents were able to have their ad featured in any of the 4 zones.
My Contributions
I worked with our creative lead and one other senior designer to come up with different designs for the cover wrap and internal pages. Once our designs were finalized, we moved onto the next phase of getting buy-ins from agents. We had a total of 85 agents buy into our ad campaign. To cover the large number of ads we had to produce, we had the help of a few more designers to fill in our pre-designed templates.

Initial Variations
The original Compass Concierge logo that HQ provided consisted of the Compass logo locked up with "CONCIERGE" in all caps Harmonia Sans Pro-Light, which was a font Compass used prior to adopting its own custom type family. In order to advocate for brand consistency, we played with designing different modules using the new Compass fonts designed by the type foundry, Colophon.
Final Deliverables
Most real estate advertising features a small portrait of the agent, but we scaled up their photography to highlight the different faces behind each agent team. We also experimented with using different font styles for a less standard and more creative approach.
