Overview

Houlihan Lokey required an elevated visual narrative for our client, Pixi Beauty, to attract investment capital. Pixi, an established global brand with a dedicated customer base, needed a presentation that extended beyond a standard pitch deck. The objective was to create a coffee table book, conceived initially for print, that effectively integrated Pixi’s distinctive visual identity with a comprehensive financial and strategic business case suitable for investment purposes.

Solution

I established a modular grid system and a cohesive design framework to ensure visual consistency and scalability across the entire book. My approach was to translate the visual identity of Pixi's distinctive, approachable aesthetic, including its signature green and commitment to simplicity, into a professional, executive-level investment narrative. The framework leveraged visual and typographic hierarchy, with a strong emphasis on data visualization to make complex financial data clear and actionable for investors.

Results

The final digital coffee table book significantly strengthened the investment narrative, demonstrating how a thoughtful editorial design standard enhances a strategic financial document's perceived value. The project successfully supported the company's objective of securing new capital, and the Pixi client team affirmed the strategic value of the final result.
